Youth Flag Football Leagues Near You
Organized, beginner-friendly youth flag football leagues across Friendswood, Pearland, League City, and the greater Houston area — built around real coaching, fundamentals, and character.
The Youth Football League Families Trust
Be Someone Sports is the organized, beginner-friendly youth flag football league for families across Friendswood, Pearland, League City, and the surrounding greater Houston area. The rec league is the front door — first-time players are welcomed and developed, committed athletes are challenged, and every season runs on standards parents can rely on.
Be Someone Sports youth flag football leagues are built so beginners can step on the field with confidence and committed athletes can sharpen speed, route running, defensive instincts, and football IQ. Every season focuses on real fundamentals — not just running plays. The flag format is fast, accessible, no pads, and built around development first.
Be Someone Sports flag football is about teamwork as much as ability. Players learn to lead, communicate, lift teammates up, and respect the game. Discipline, resilience, and confidence are built into every practice and every Saturday on the field.
How Our Youth Flag Football League Works
Our recreational league is organized flag football — no pads, minimal contact, fast-paced, and built for development first. It’s open registration: there are no tryouts and no cuts, and every registered athlete is placed on a team and plays.
Before the season, player evaluations help create balanced rosters through a volunteer coach draft, so games stay competitive and fair. Teams practice and play weekly on weekday evenings, All-Star selections follow the regular season, and a championship weekend closes the season.
Ages & Divisions
The league currently offers boys’ and girls’ divisions from Kinder/1st grade through 9th grade, with Kinder/1st sometimes played co-ed depending on registration numbers. Players are placed by school grade, so athletes compete alongside kids at a similar stage.
Ages, divisions, season dates and pricing vary by registration window — your city’s league page always shows the current details.
Seasons & What Registration Includes
The current fall season runs August through November. Registration includes the full season: structured teams, weekly games and practices, and All-Star opportunities after the regular season.
Season dates and pricing vary by registration window — check current open registrations or your city’s league page for what’s open right now.

Recreational NFL FLAG vs. Be Someone Rush 7-on-7
Our recreational league is where every athlete starts. It’s open registration — no tryouts, no cuts. Evaluations keep rosters balanced, every registered player is placed on a team, and every kid plays. The league runs official NFL FLAG events, so families are part of the real thing.
Be Someone Rush is our competitive 7-on-7 program — a tryout-based select pathway for athletes ready for higher-rep training, tougher competition, and travel play. The two are connected pathways, not competing versions of the same program: Rush is the next rung on the same ladder.
Most families start in the rec league and let their athlete’s growth decide the rest.
