Crystal Williams
Friendswood mom. Lifelong player. Coach for the next generation.
Crystal is a proud mom of three boys, happily married, and a Friendswood local. She started playing club volleyball in 8th grade and went on to play for Lutheran South Academy — the same path many of her Mini GOATS athletes are walking now.
After three years coaching, she leads Mini GOATS with a simple philosophy: build players who love the game, hold the standard on and off the court, and earn the GOATS jersey. Mini GOATS is the runway. Crystal is the one teaching them how to take off.

Grades 3rd–8th · 10U–14U. Foundation, fundamentals, first competitive reps.

Who is Mini GOATS for?
Athletes in Grades 3rd–8th (10U–14U). Players are placed by grade and skill, not just age, so daughters compete and develop with the right peers.
How is this different from rec volleyball?
Rec is a season. Mini GOATS is a development pathway. We run structured practices with real coaches, real reps, and a curriculum that ladders directly into GOATS Club. Same uniforms philosophy, same standards, scaled to the right age.
Does my daughter need experience to join?
No. We have first-timers and players already in their second year of club. What matters is the willingness to compete and improve. We start every athlete where she is and move her forward.
What's the practice schedule?
Schedules are released by age group after registration closes. You'll get the full practice day/time for your daughter's division before any commitment is final. Most teams practice 1–2 evenings per week at our Friendswood/Houston gyms.
What about tournaments and travel?
Mini GOATS focuses on local and regional tournaments — competitive reps without the heavy travel cost of full club. Athletes who graduate to GOATS Club step up to the broader tournament season.
How does the pathway to GOATS Club work?
Mini GOATS feeds directly into GOATS Club. Athletes who put in the work, learn the system, and earn the standard are tracked and identified for tryout invites at the older age groups. Same coaches in the building means a real handoff.
Who coaches my daughter?
Mini GOATS is led by Crystal Williams — Director and Head Coach. Crystal is a Friendswood mom, a Lutheran South Academy alum, and a multi-year coach who has built the program from the ground up.
