01 · What we expect

The standard isn't perfect.
It's all in.

GOATS isn't recreation with a logo. We coach a real club volleyball standard — the kind that holds up at competitive tournaments and follows our athletes into high school programs.

01

Effort

Every rep, every drill, every match — the floor speed doesn't drop because the score is comfortable.

02

Coachability

Listen, adjust, repeat. Athletes who take coaching get faster than athletes who already think they know.

03

Reps

Volume earns confidence. Confidence earns court time. Court time earns the next level.

04

Accountability

Show up on time. Bring your knee pads. Own your mistakes. The little stuff is the standard.

05

Team First

Celebrate the teammate who got the dig. Cover for the teammate who didn't. The roster wins, or no one does.

02 · Our promise to families

No mystery before you commit.

Club volleyball is a real investment of time and money. Before your family writes a check, you'll know what the schedule looks like, what the dues cover, and whether your athlete is the right fit for the team.

01

Schedule clarity

You'll see the tentative season calendar — tournaments, practices, travel weekends — before deposit, not after.

02

Cost clarity

Season dues, deposit, what's included, what isn't. Uniform, USAV membership, and scorekeeping costs are listed up front.

03

Fit conversation

Before tryouts, we'll tell you what each team is built for so you can pick the right path — not the loudest one.

04

One point of contact

You'll know exactly who to reach with a question. No silent inboxes, no chasing answers between tournaments.

03 · Where GOATS fits

The path through Be Someone.

GOATS is the club tier inside the Be Someone Sports volleyball pathway — the place where serious athletes go after rec, before they're ready to lead a high school program.

01

05 · What families can expect

The honest version.

No fake quotes. No staged photos. Just what your family will actually experience between deposit day and the final tournament.

In Season

Practice rhythm

Weekday practices, usually two per week. Coaches run skill work, situational drills, and competitive 6-on-6 reps. Athletes know what's expected and what's being measured.

Tournaments

What weekends look like

Most tournaments run Saturday and/or Sunday at regional venues. Plan for early calls and full-day pool play. Travel events have an arrival day; details land in advance through team communication channels.

Communication

How we keep you in the loop

Roster decisions, schedule changes, costs — through one team channel, not five group texts. You'll know who to ask, and they'll answer.

Cost

What's included — and what isn't

Dues cover coaching, gym time, entries to listed tournaments. Uniform package, USAV membership ($50), and scorekeeping course (~$20) are additional. No surprise invoices mid-season.

Development

How we coach

Position work, system terminology, and game IQ — the same vocabulary the next level will use. Athletes leave each season more confident, with measurable skill gains.

Off-Season

What comes after

HS prep training and BSTV visibility are available for athletes transitioning beyond GOATS. No pressure — families choose what fits.

06 · Parent FAQ

Real questions, straight answers.

How do tryouts work?
Tryout dates are announced ahead of the season. Athletes attend, coaches evaluate, and team offers are extended through team communication channels. There's a clear timeline so families aren't waiting in the dark.
What does the deposit hold?
The $400 June deposit holds your athlete's spot on the roster and unlocks payment plan options for remaining season dues. Deposit is applied to total dues, not on top.
Are payment plans available?
Yes — payment plans are available after the deposit is paid. Plan structure is shared in your team welcome packet.
What's not included in dues?
Uniform package, USAV Membership ($50), and the scorekeeping course (approximately $20) are not included. Hotel and travel costs for overnight events are family-paid.
How do families communicate with coaches?
Through team communication channels — one place for schedule updates, roster news, and tournament logistics. You'll know who your point of contact is from day one.
What happens after the GOATS season?
Many athletes continue with HS prep training and BSTV visibility services. Others move directly into high school programs. The pathway is flexible — your family chooses what comes next.
