The standard starts with the staff.
Be Someone Elite is built by coaches who can develop players, lead teams, build culture, and prepare athletes for the next level. This is not babysitting with jerseys. This is structure, accountability, and real basketball development.
Coaches who bring more than a whistle.
The right coach changes the room. The right staff changes the program. Be Someone Elite coaches are expected to teach the game, demand accountability, build confidence, and help athletes understand what next-level preparation really looks like.
Johnathon Bob
Johnathon “JB” Bob is a respected youth-sports director, coach, recruiter and relationship builder with more than 20 years of experience developing programs, identifying talent and connecting athletes with the right opportunities.
Throughout his career, JB has helped lead and strengthen some of Houston’s most recognized youth basketball organizations. His impact extends beyond building competitive rosters. He has consistently helped organizations establish stronger cultures, develop trusted relationships with families and create environments centered on the growth of young athletes.
JB is an exceptional evaluator of talent—not only in players, but also in coaches. He understands how to identify leaders who can teach, develop and cultivate athletes both on and off the court or field. His ability to build authentic relationships has made him one of the most influential recruiters in the youth-sports community.
Known throughout the basketball world as a true closer, JB has earned a reputation for turning conversations into commitments. When he calls, players, families and coaches listen because they know his approach is rooted in honesty, relationships and putting young people first.
Today, JB serves as Director and Director of Recruiting for Be Someone Elite basketball and Be Someone Rush 7-on-7 football. He also serves as a consultant across Be Someone Sports recreational programming, helping strengthen leadership, recruiting, relationships and organizational growth.
Before becoming a youth-sports leader, JB played collegiate football at the Division I level and competed in semi-professional basketball. Several former players he has coached and mentored now serve on college basketball staffs, extending his influence into the next generation of coaches and sports leaders.
